Program Schedule

  • Saturday: Volunteers will arrive in Kathmandu and meet local staff at the airport (the only airport in Nepal) for hotel accommodation in Kathmandu. Local staff will hold a welcome meeting at the hotel, distribute work and introduce the project content.
  • Sunday: Volunteeers will travel from Kathmandu to Pokhara by car in the morning, which takes about 7 hours. Since the road conditions in Nepal are poor, volunteers should be prepared in advance.
  • From Monday to Friday: Volunteers will go to school in the morning to teach English and handicrafts according to their own situations, and play games with the children. Afternoon continues with  teaching and activities.
  • Saturday: Volunteers head to school in the morning for the teaching on the last day. After class, they will say goodbye to the children. The local leader issues the International Volunteer certificate and the project ends.

Accomodation Environment

  • Lean In Volunteer Home or host family, 2-4 people per room, with Western-style toilet, hot shower, separate for men and women.
  • The volunteer program runs from every Sunday to the following Saturday.
  • Nepal is a less developed country,so there will be more than 9 hours of power failure and food is vegetarian.
  • The hot shower equipment is not widely available and stable, so staff can help boil water.

  • Design and deliver age - appropriate educational lessons.
  • Foster a positive and safe learning environment.
  • Help with daily care tasks and support the kids.
  • Organize recreational activities for the orphans.

What our volunteers say about us

This summer is unique. The enthusiasm, adorability, and eagerness to learn of the children in Bali deeply touched us. We enjoyed the entire process of volunteer teaching, laughing, and being joyful just like them, and were deeply moved. Love knows no borders; we helped plant the seeds of English in their hearts, and their smiles made our youth shine brilliantly and beautifully.

Bali

In just two weeks, I dined with the natives, shared watermelon with monkeys, swam in a lake with crocodiles, and lived under the same blue sky with elephants and humble villagers. I still remember the clear eyes of the local little girl. My trip ended with reluctance, and as I was leaving, a young boy said to me 'see you again.' I quickly got into the car, thinking to myself, 'I will come back to see you all.
