Kathmandu English teaching

Embark on a meaningful adventure in Kathmandu, Nepal! Join our English teaching project and bring the gift of language to eager learners. Volunteers will help teachers at local schools in teaching English, crafts, music and other courses. At the same time, they can assist the local children to complete their homework after class and help the children rebuild their confidence in learning. Program Requirements

If you're planning to volunteer in Nepal for less than 30 days, you can get a visa on arrival when you arrive. If you need more time, you can extend it for another 30 days.
If you're under 16, you have to have a parent or guardian with you for the program. And if you're 16 or 17 when your program starts, you need parental consent to join. A consent form will be required by our team.
Travel insurance is mandatory.

Program Schedule

The teaching time is from 8:30 am to 11:30 am from Monday to Friday.

Accomodation Environment

Lean In Volunteer Home or host family, 2-4 people per room, with Western-style toilet and hot shower, separate for men and women.
The volunteer program runs from every Sunday to the following Saturday.
Nepal is a less developed country,so there will be more than 9 hours of power cuts and food is vegetarian.
The hot shower equipment is not widely available and stable, so staff can help boil water.

Roles & Responsibilities

Plan and teach English courses based on students' levels.
Create a lively classroom atmosphere to boost learning.
Correct students' language mistakes and give feedback.
Organize language - related activities for practice.
Evaluate students' learning outcomes regularly.
